YAAP 2024 Recap: Refactors, CRM Kanban, Calendar, and Chats
2024 was about turning YAAP into a sturdier platform: refactoring the foundation, expanding CRM workflows, and improving planning and communication so teams can run daily operations with less friction.
The foundation: v0.9.0 refactors
In mid-2024 we shipped a major internal upgrade: services were refactored, forms were reorganized, packages were updated, and ESLint was configured. This kind of work is invisible in screenshots, but it reduces regressions and speeds up future delivery.
CRM workflows: statuses, filters, and Kanban
Across 2024, YAAP’s CRM matured with better entity cards, search and filters, customizable lead statuses (including colors), and Kanban-style lead visualization. The goal was a workflow teams can actually use daily, not just a list of records.
Calendar & events: planning becomes part of the system
We introduced a global calendar experience plus event CRUD, and improved event timing and duration behavior. Calendars aren’t a “nice-to-have” once you run real operations. They become the reference point for availability and execution.
Communication: chats that feel like a product
YAAP’s communication layer improved with better chat capabilities and a structural change: chats were moved to routes, enabling clearer navigation and more consistent behavior as the app grows.
What this sets up for 2025
Deeper links between modules (CRM ↔ tasks ↔ calendar ↔ files).
More transparency (history, audit trails, and accountability).
Stronger operational controls (permissions, policies, and predictable workflows).
